Suvarnabhumi » Airports of Thailand approves 468.438 million compensations for noise pollution
Tuesday, September 4th, 2007Airports of Thailand’s board has approved the allocation of Bt468.438 million to compensate those affected by noise pollution caused by the new Bangkok Airport.
In the filing to the Stock Exchange of Thailand, AOT, the operator of Suvarnabhumi Airport, said the board approved the payment of Bt43 million for the three residents who have agreed to sell a total of three plots of land and eight buildings.
The remaining budget of Bt389 million will be divided for the noise pollution victims. Some are still negotiating to sell their properties, currently at 29 plots of land and 36 buildings.
