Suvarnabhumi airport railway link builder asked for deadline delay
Wednesday, April 18th, 2007The consortium contracted to build the 30 billion baht Suvarnabhumi airport railway link has written to the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) asking for a deadline extension of 652 days. However, a construction supervision consultant for the project has suggested that the extension of the construction deadline should not exceed 398 days, according to the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) source.

Monday, March 5th, 2007The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) is in dire need of 18 billion baht as the payment is due in November for the Airport Link railway system that will connect the city to Suvarnabhumi airport.
Suthon Jetketkan, chief of the SRT’s electric railway office, said the SRT would have to pay 18 billion baht to the creditor bank that financed the 30-billion-baht Airport Link project. The instalment is due on Nov 5. The deadline is the completion date of the 990-day railway construction contract.
Bangkok Mass Transit to provide more private buses around airport
Monday, October 2nd, 2006The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority will be providing more private buses for service around Suvarnabhumi airport due to influx of people.
Mr. O-pas Petchmunee , director of Bangkok Mass Transit Authority reveals that after BMTA has participated in service at Suvarnabhumi airport since August until 28th September, the first full day of opening to commercial flights, the amount of passengers have been increasing continually.
