Suvarnabhumi » Airports of Thailand to reserve seats and toilets in Suvarnabhumi Airport for monks
Sunday, July 20th, 2008
The Airports of Thailand Plc is finding appropriate seats and toilets in the passenger building reserved for monks as requested by the Department of Religious Affairs.
Suvarnabhumi Airport Director-General Somchai Sawasdiphon said AOT had already reserved a special room in the passenger building for high-ranking monks. The company has instructed airport officials to reserve more seats for monks.
The director-general admitted that there are not enough seats in the passenger buildings despite additional 2,000 seats brought from Donmuang Airport. He affirmed that this problem will be resolved as quickly as possible.
As for toilets for monks, he said at present the monks use general male toilets as AOT has not finished the construction of toilets reserved especially for them.
The construction is expected to be completed by next month.
