Suvarnabhumi » Malaysian Airline to start at Suvarnabhumi Airport on Sept 28
Sunday, July 20th, 2008
Malaysian Airline System (MAS) will start passenger and cargo flight operations at the new Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok and cease operations at the Don Muang airport on Sept 28.
In a statement on Sept 26, MAS said it would operate only one of its three daily Kuala Lumpur-Bangkok return frequencies on Sept 28.
It said it would double the frequency on Sept 29 and from Sept 30, MAS would reinstate its three daily flights on the route.
It said MAS passengers travelling out of Suvarnabhumi airport for the next few weeks are advised to report early for check-in to ensure timely completion of departure formalities.
MAS said the new airport has only one passenger terminal where the departure area is located at the fourth level of the main terminal building.
It said MAS would also offer ticketing facilities at the new airport from 9.30am to 6.30
pm daily.
